The Department of Mechanical Engineering, which started education and training together with the Department of Civil Engineering in 1976 as the first department of the Faculty of Engineering, has been continuing its education, training, research, and applications as a department of Dokuz Eylül University Denizli Faculty of Engineering between 1982-1992 and Pamukkale University Faculty of Engineering since 1992 in the Faculty of Engineering A Block building on the Kınıklı campus of our University.
Our students take compulsory and elective courses to gain professional knowledge and skills throughout their undergraduate education and do internships in the summer months to reinforce their knowledge and skills with practice. In addition to undergraduate education, Master's and PhD education has been in our department since 1994. Our department has five main disciplines: Mechanics, Energy, Construction and Manufacturing, Thermodynamics, and Machine Dynamics and Theory. In addition to education and training activities with 19 faculty members, 2 lecturers, and 7 research assistants, projects are carried out within the scope of DPT, TUBITAK, and BAP.
Our department provides project and consultancy services within the scope of circulating capital to solve the problems encountered in our profession in many provinces of the Aegean Region, especially in Denizli. In addition, consultancy services are provided for different projects within the scope of PAU TEKNOKENT. Our department members actively participate in national and international scientific meetings.
