To be an archaeology department that directs scientific developments, pioneers innovative educational practices, creates value, and is internationally respected. By providing a rich learning and research environment for students and academics, we aim to be a leader in training future archaeologists; to strengthen cultural heritage preservation efforts by increasing engagement with society; to conduct internationally recognized research; and to raise cultural awareness worldwide through sustainable and innovative methods. We aim to contribute to the preservation of archaeological heritage by working in collaboration with the public, academia and other stakeholders so that future generations can better understand the past.
