As the Department of Archaeology, we aim to educate individuals who carry out education, research and development, and social development activities in line with the needs of the age, in the light of universal and national values, and who successfully fulfill their professional and social responsibilities. We aim to provide our students with the ability to delve into the past and make sense of today's societies through laboratories and interdisciplinary approaches where technological equipment is used effectively and efficiently. We also train archaeologists who are aware of the importance of protecting archaeological heritage, who support ethical archaeological practice, and who are competent, innovative, entrepreneurial and capable of lifelong learning.
