Minor Programs
(1) Minor programs are opened upon the request of the relevant department and with the approval of the relevant board and the Senate. A minor program is not a separate undergraduate degree program. Students who successfully complete a minor program are awarded a separate certificate.
(2) Which program students may enroll in a minor program is determined by the relevant board and Senate decisions.
(3) Minor programs consist of at least 30 and at most 60 credits.
(4) Students may count up to 10 credits taken in their major program toward the minor program.
(5) In order to enroll in a minor program, a student must be at least in the third semester and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80.
(6) Minor programs are conducted in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation and Senate decisions.
(7) (Added: Official Gazette 20/7/2014-29066) In order to continue in a minor program, the student’s GPA in the major program must be at least 2.30. Students who fail to meet this requirement are dismissed from the minor program.
