As of 2025, an event titled the “Internship Symposium” has been organized annually within the Department of Archaeology at Pamukkale University, where our students present the knowledge and experience they have gained from the excavations, surveys, and museum research in which they completed their internships.
The event is open not only to students of the Department of Archaeology at Pamukkale University but also to the public of Denizli. Information about the symposium, which is planned to be held every year in December, will be shared in the “Announcements” and “Events” sections.
Through this event:
-
Our students share the experiences, observations, and scientific evaluations they gained at the institutions where they completed their internships.
-
Our students have the opportunity to present their field experiences on an academic platform.
-
Our aim is to enable students to share their experiences related to archaeological excavations, surveys, and museum research processes, to learn from one another, and to develop their academic presentation skills. The knowledge gained is evaluated in terms of scientific and professional development.
-
At the same time, this event—open to the public of Denizli—aims to raise awareness of current archaeological work and to enhance consciousness regarding cultural heritage.
