ERASMUS+ STAFF MOBILITY (ST)

Erasmus+ Staff Mobility enables university staff members to spend teaching or traineeship period for a minimum of 8 hours, a maximum of 2 months in EU countries within a single academic year. The receiving and the sending institution must be Programme Countries and awarded with an ECHE. Professors, teachers, trainers, and people working in organisations active in the education, training and youth fields of a Higher Education Institutions (HEI) can apply to Erasmus+ staff mobility for both teaching and training. It serves opportunities for professors, teachers, trainers and staff of education institutions to undertake a learning and/or professional experience in another country. Erasmus+ Staff Mobility is divided into two sub-activities:

1- Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignments (STA)

2- Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training (STT)

1-Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignments (STA) (Teaching Mobility)

Erasmus+ KA103 Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignments (STA) is a field of activity that allows teachers, professors, trainers, and staff of education institutions of a Turkish HEI holding an ECHE to teach and carry joint academic and educational activities at a partner HEI. The receiving organisation must be a Programme Country HEI awarded with an ECHE.

Staff Mobility for Teaching includes three types of mobility:

  • 1.1. The mobility of staff of HEI going to enterprise and from enterprise to HEI.

    The aim of this mobility of staffs is to acquire practical skills and learn by sharing experience and knowledge. Activities consist of basic activities, seminars, workshops, courses and conferences etc.

  • 1.2. The mobility of management and administrative staff of HEI going to another HEI.

    The aim of this mobility is to provide staff to have an opportunity to improve their skills and learn different and various application techniques at a different institution.

  • 1.3. The mobility of teaching staff/instructors of HEI going to another HEI for teaching assignments.

1.1. Application Criteria

HEI staff who will attend the mobility should fill the table for evaluation till the application deadline. Afterwards, accepted and signed table for evaluation should be given to the Pamukkale University International Relations Office (IRO) staff so that all application documents will be evaluated. Eligible academic and administrative staff should fill the Application Form from their Pusula account - Erasmus Information System.

When filling the documents, attention should be given to the following details;

* please, do not forget to add your academic title,

* please, write your Turkish address in English letters,

* writing your phone number and e-mail address will help the receiving institution to be in touch with you,

* date of visit should be the same as the assignment dates you have arranged before your mobility,

* please, pay attention to your teaching periods; it must be on the weekdays and if you are planning a period of more than 3 days, it is the responsibility of the staff to finance the other days. 

Please, send your documents in Word format to the IRO. The personnel of IRO will check your document and it will be sent back to you if there are any missing points. The final form of your document should be sent to the receiving institution. After your acceptance, please ask for a copy of it and send it also to the responsible personnel of PAU IRO via e-mail with your signature. Online applications are evaluated by the International Relations Commission on Wednesday’s every week or fortnightly.

Note: The procedure written above must be completed within a minimum of 2 weeks. To be able to prevent the possible complications, it is suggested that the application procedure should start at least a month prior to the mobility.

1.2. Assignment

After the commission approves of your application, please, send your petition to the dean of your faculty or director of the graduate school. Your assignment request will be directed to the Rectorate and the Directorate of Personnel Department will send your assignment letter to your department. After the endorsement of your assignment letter, you should make your grant agreement at the IRO. The original version should be given to the IRO of PAU by hand for the advance payment.

1.3. Passport and Visa Application

If you already hold a passport, please, do not forget to extend it; if you do not have it, you can take your passport out from http://epasaport.gov.tr. Green passport holders should check out the visa procedure of the country they applied for from http://www.mfa.gov.tr/turk-vatandaslarinin-tabi-oldugu-vize-uygulamalari.tr.mfa and check out the validity. Staffs with grey passport should go to the Directorate of Personnel Department with their assignment letter. 1.4. Travel Plan

While making your travel plan, please pay attention to the rules/steps specified by the Turkish National Agency:

Transportation from the current city to the destination is calculated as kilometre for the staff who will join the Mobility of Teaching Assignments (ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/tools/distance_en.htm).

Important Note: The original version of the Certificate of Attendance, Application Form and Invitation Letter and also Boarding Pass and the photocopy of the entrance & exit page of your Passport should be handed to the IRO staff.

1.5. Hotel Reservation

After the arrangement of your travel plans, we suggest that you search the accommodation facilities and make your hotel reservation before your arrival. You can also get in touch with your host university and request a guesthouse, if available.

1.6. Euro Account

Erasmus+ grants are paid in Euro. Therefore, we suggest you open a Euro account at Halk Bank since other banks will take a commission of -15 Euro. Please, also do not forget to send your IBAN to IRO staff via e-mail.

1.7. Advance Payment

In the Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignment, grants for only 3 days are covered. 70% of your total grant is paid to your Euro account after we receive your acceptance of your assignment letter. For this procedure, your assignment letter should be accepted by the Rectorate at least a week ago.

Grant amount determined by the Turkish National Agency is as follows:

3 days mobility (1 full day trip + 2 days teaching) + (calculating your travel cost according to the destination as a kilometre)

70% of your grant is paid before you check out and the rest %30 will be paid after your arrival.

A sample of Grant Calculation:

Grant calculation for a visit to Slovenia (city of Maribor) for staff mobility is as follows:

The daily grant amount for Slovenia is € 119. Since the distance between Denizli and Maribor is 1472.96 KM, travel support amount is € 275.

Grant amount at total = [3 x 119] + 275 = € 632.

1.8. During the Mobility for Staff

Please, pay attention to the following details during your mobility:

-Please, do not throw your tickets away.

-Please, do not lose your Boarding Pass.

-Teaching programme should be signed by the responsible person at the receiving institution.

-Please, do not forget to take/ask for your Certificate of Attendance.

-Please, do not forget to take/ask for the original version of your Invitation Letter.

 

1.9. Documents

After your mobility, please, deliver the following documents to the PAU IRO:

-Application Form (signed by the receiving institution)

-Original Invitation Letter

-Original Certificate of Attendance

-Tickets

-Boarding Pass

-Photocopy of the Entry & Exit Seal page in your passport.
