Updated Date: 12 May 2026

The "Sector Days: Banking" event organized by the PAU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences was held on May 6, 2026, at the FEAS Şehit Piyade Teğmen Bekir Can Kerek Conference Hall. Garanti Bank Branch Manager Şeyda DALGIÇ, Halkbank Branch Manager Cengiz MORALI, and Yapı Kredi Bank Branch Manager Yasemin ILGAZ joined students for an in-depth discussion of banking career paths, corporate work culture, and the hiring process.

As part of the Faculty's Sector Days series, the banking industry took center stage on May 6, 2026. At the FEAS Şehit Piyade Teğmen Bekir Can Kerek Conference Hall, Garanti Bank Pamukkale University Branch Manager Şeyda DALGIÇ, Halkbank Pamukkale University Branch Manager Cengiz MORALI, and Yapı Kredi Bank Kınıklı Branch Manager Yasemin ILGAZ met with students to share professional experience and practical guidance.

The speakers covered current developments in the banking sector and addressed corporate work culture, career management, and human resources processes in detail. They emphasized that in today's professional environment, qualities such as disciplined work habits, teamwork, communication skills, and a sense of institutional belonging have become just as important as technical knowledge. Candidates at corporate institutions, the speakers noted, are evaluated not only on academic qualifications but also on problem-solving ability, a sense of responsibility, time management, and professional demeanor.

The job interview process was one of the session's central topics. The speakers explained that hiring interviews are not merely a test of knowledge; they are a multi-dimensional assessment that considers a candidate's ability to express themselves, self-confidence, stress management, communication style, and fit within the organization. Students were advised to research prospective employers in advance, stay current with economic developments, and develop clear, confident communication skills. The speakers also emphasized that first impressions carry lasting weight in professional settings, and that body language, diction, and overall manner play a significant role in interview performance.

Throughout the event, students had the opportunity to ask questions directly to the banking professionals about career opportunities, promotion prospects, and professional life in the banking sector. The event closed with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the speakers.
