TOEFL exams, whose native language is not used as an acceptance criteria for students, will now be held at Pamukkale University (PAU). PAU has become one of the three public universities where TOEFL exams can be held in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions.

Dr. Özlem Akyol attended the opening ceremony of the examination center.

Before the opening, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Recep Şahin Arslan gave information about the exam center and how to conduct the exams, then Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bağ and those accompanying him made observations in the center.

Noting that TOEFL exams are an important internationally accepted test and that test centers should have sufficient technical and physical facilities. TOEFL exam, which is equivalent to foreign language exams held by ÖSYM, is held to measure the knowledge of American English of non-native English speakers. TOEFL, which is an examination organized by Educational Testing Service (ETS) in New Jersey state in many parts of the world, is used by English-speaking colleges and universities throughout the world as the acceptance criteria for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. . With the TOEFL exam, students' level of English is measured based on four basic skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
The first TOEFL exam will be held on 20 March 2020 in PAU, one of the three state universities where TOEFL exams can be held in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions.
