As a graduate of Ondokuz Mayıs University, French Language Teaching Department, Prof. Dr. Ertan Kuşçu received his master's degree in French Language and Literature from Yüzüncü Yıl University and his doctorate in French Language and Literature from Gazi University. He completed his studies in the field of education. After working as a teacher in schools of the Ministry of Education, he began his academic career in 2013 at Pamukkale University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of French Language and Literature; he received the title of associate professor in 2018 and was declared a professor in 2024.

He has held various administrative positions at Pamukkale University and currently serves as the Director of the School of Foreign Languages. He participated in Erasmus mobility programs at Rouen University in France and at the CLA language center in Besançon. He has gained international experience by participating in training programs.

His academic work focuses on teaching French as a foreign language, linguistics, French sign language, audiovisual materials, and mobile applications. He has published over thirty articles in international journals and has made significant contributions to mobile-assisted language learning, teaching sociocultural elements, and methodological innovations. He has authored works such as "French Verb Dictionary," "French Verb Conjugation Guide," and "French-Turkish Idioms Dictionary," as well as contributing chapters and serving as editor in various scholarly books.
