As part of the 2024–2025 Spring Semester Activities organized by the Pamukkale University Preschool Education Application and Research Center, a seminar titled “Play-Based Learning in Early Childhood” was held on May 7, 2025.
The seminar took place at the Engin Aksel Conference Hall and featured Hayriye Kamrak, Huriye Melek İçel, and Gökçe Şalk as guest speakers. The event attracted significant interest from academics, pre-service teachers, and professionals working in the field.
During the seminar, the role of play in the learning process during early childhood was discussed, with particular emphasis on the effects of play-based approaches on children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development. The interactive session allowed participants to actively engage in discussions, where current research findings and practical examples were presented to explore ways of making play-based learning more effective.
At the end of the seminar, participants left the event with new perspectives and practical insights into the implementation of play-based learning in early childhood education.
