Pamukkale University (PAU) Çal Vocational School Digital Agriculture Technologies Program introduced its new generation academic and development platforms to its students through the "Quality and Development Meeting," organized to elevate educational standards through digitalization. During the meeting, digital quality systems and transparent feedback mechanisms designed specifically for the department came to the forefront.
In the program, which centers on continuous improvement and stakeholder participation in educational processes, a new era has begun where both academic management and student feedback are digitalized.
Digital Quality Vision: F1 and AGRO-PORT Systems
During the meeting, Head of Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Çelik drew attention to the importance of digital infrastructures designed exclusively for the Digital Agriculture Technologies Program. The F1 Quality and Development Feedback System, where students can directly convey their opinions on course procedures, internship processes, and technological facilities to the administration, was introduced by Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Çelik as the most important tool of the participatory management approach. In addition to this system, which is open not only to students but also to external stakeholders such as sector representatives, employers, and alumni; the details of the AGRO-PORT platform, developed for the digital tracking of academic processes and the management of institutional memory, were shared.
Data-Driven Development with Department-Specific Surveys
Department-specific surveys, prepared in accordance with the dynamics of the program, form the foundation of the quality management system. At the meeting, it was stated that the data collected through these surveys, coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Çelik, will play a critical role in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the program. It was emphasized that through this digital data flow, educational quality will be continuously improved on a measurable and auditable basis.
PDCA Cycle and Accreditation Processes
Department Quality Commission Member Assist. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Torlak provided information on the institutional functioning of quality assurance systems. Stating that the activities carried out within the framework of YÖKAK (Higher Education Quality Council) standards and the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) are not coincidental, Assist. Prof. Dr. Torlak explained to the students how the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) principle—a continuous improvement cycle driven by feedback received after the planning, implementation, and control stages—is operated within the department.
