Pamukkale University Çal Vocational School continues its sectoral field studies without slowing down in order for its students to blend their theoretical knowledge with practice in the field and maximize their professional development. In this context, students of our Food Technology Program and Digital Agricultural Technologies Program organized a comprehensive technical trip to the Antalya region to examine the sector's leading production facilities on-site.
An Educational Adventure Ranging from Edible Flowers to Tropical Fruits
The first stop of the trip was Erüst Farm, which draws attention with its innovative agricultural practices. Our students, who examined the greenhouses of the enterprise on-site, were given detailed technical information about the production, care, and harvesting stages of edible flowers and vegetables consumed for their leaves, which are mainly produced there. We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Burak Akbulut and all the company employees, who welcomed us sincerely, for both the valuable information they conveyed and their delicious treats and hospitality.
In the second part of the technical trip, Devtaş Group-Aymuz facilities, operating on an area of 1000 decares, were visited. Our students had the opportunity to observe the sapling production stages with admiration in the enterprise's highly advanced tissue culture laboratory, which stands out with its technological infrastructure. Our team, examining all processes on-site from the harvest to the packaging of bananas, received first-hand information about modern agricultural technologies. We would like to thank all Devtaş Group employees, especially Mr. Ali Acar, who guided us during this process and opened their doors to us.
A Pleasant Break at Lake Karacaören
After the technical examinations in Antalya, our team started their return journey to Denizli and took a short break at Gölbaşı Restaurant located on the shore of Lake Karacaören in Bucak, Burdur. Participating in a free boat tour with the kind gesture of the restaurant owner towards our students, our team experienced pleasant moments intertwined with nature and concluded the technical trip with an unforgettable memory. We would like to express our gratitude to the management of Gölbaşı Restaurant for their sincere hospitality and treats.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our esteemed professors, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aysel YEŞİLYURT ER, Lect. Dr. Çiğdem ELGİN KARABACAK, and Lect. Dr. Ezgi OKAN ARIKAN, who coordinated this productive organization that greatly contributed to the professional development of our students; to our driver Ahmet Akın, who safely provided our transportation; and to the PAÜ Transportation Services Branch Directorate for their vehicle support.
