Academic Support for Regional Viticulture from Çal Vocational School: Meeting with Producers in the Field

Pamukkale University Çal Vocational School continues to maintain its support for regional agriculture and local producers in the field.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Aysel Yeşilyurt Er, a faculty member of our vocational school, participated as an educator in the "Use of Pheromone Traps and Disease Management in Viticulture Training," organized for regional producers in cooperation with the District Directorate of Agriculture, KAYI Pazarı Local Action Group Association, and Çal Chamber of Agriculture.

Integrated Strategies in Disease Management

During the program, which was held to protect the future of our vineyards and strengthen local production, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aysel Yeşilyurt Er and Agricultural Engineer Nilüfer Türkkolu shared their knowledge and experiences with the producers.

Within the scope of the training, comprehensive information was conveyed to our producers on the following topics:

  • Important diseases encountered in viticulture and their symptoms,
  • Integrated management strategies and cultural measures,
  • Mechanical and biological control methods,
  • Proper use of pheromone traps, which is an eco-friendly and effective method.

As Çal Vocational School, we congratulate our faculty member Asst. Prof. Dr. Aysel Yeşilyurt Er, who successfully represented our institution by taking an active role in the field to protect regional values, ensure the sustainability of viticulture, and support regional production, and we wish her continued success in her work.
