Main Art Photography Studio Exhibition “Threshold” Opened to Visitors

Updated Date: 25 April 2026

The Main Art Photography Studio Exhibition “Threshold”, organized by the Department of Fine Arts Education, Division of Art Education at Pamukkale University, opened on April 24, 2026, at the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Congress and Culture Center.

Curated and supervised by Dr. Bekir İnce, the exhibition will be open to visitors between April 24–30, 2026.

Structured around the concept of “Threshold,” the exhibition presents a contemporary artistic interpretation of the long-standing tradition of photography education in Turkey, blending historical foundations with experimental and creative approaches. It reflects the technical and conceptual development of students gained through an intensive three-year studio process, while emphasizing photography as not merely a tool of documentation, but as a critical and expressive artistic medium.

The exhibited works explore layered relationships between inner perception and external reality through light, time, visual construction, and personal expression. In this context, the exhibition embodies a transitional moment—symbolizing the passage from apprenticeship to artistic maturity.

Representing the contemporary art education approach of Pamukkale University, the exhibition brings together tradition and modern aesthetics, inviting viewers to actively engage in interpretation.

The exhibition is open to the public until April 30, 2026.
