At the talk titled "Companies' Sustainability Journey" held at the Faculty on December 23, 2025, Aydem Renewable Energy executives shared sustainability strategies and climate policies with students.
The talk "Companies' Sustainability Journey" organized by the Faculty was held at the Şehit Piyade Teğmen Bekir Can Kerek Conference Hall. Aydem Renewable Energy Strategy and Sustainability Director Hüseyin GÜRASLAN and Strategy and Sustainability Manager Ali Rıza BIYIKLI participated as speakers, addressing corporate sustainability practices.
The event began with opening remarks by Dean Prof. Ender COŞKUN. Hüseyin GÜRASLAN presented the historical development of the sustainability concept, emphasizing the relationship between climate change and sustainability. GÜRASLAN shared with participants the role of corporate sustainability tools such as materiality analysis, stakeholder management and risk assessment in practice.
Ali Rıza BIYIKLI focused on the financial aspects of sustainability. BIYIKLI explained the functioning of carbon and emission markets while describing the importance of sustainability reporting standards for companies. Strategic steps that companies should consider in their sustainability journeys in line with global climate goals were discussed in detail.
The talk concluded with a raffle held among students. Gifts were presented to students selected through the raffle.
