Two studies conducted by our Faculty's Exercise and Obesity Unit were accepted and presented at the 33rd European Congress on Obesity (ECO2026) held in Istanbul.

At ECO2026, the largest European Congress on Obesity to date with more than 4,500 participants, one of the studies conducted within our Faculty was presented as an oral presentation and the other as a poster presentation. The accepted abstracts were also published in the Obesity Facts supplement.

The studies, conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ummuhan Baş Aslan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raziye Şavkın, were presented by our doctoral students, Specialist Physiotherapist Çilem Dikmen and Specialist Physiotherapist Büşra Nur Orhan.

Specialist Physiotherapist Çilem Dikmen presented an oral presentation on age-specific musculoskeletal pain, activity limitation, and healthcare utilization in women living with obesity.

Specialist Physiotherapist Büşra Nur Orhan presented a poster on the relationship between regional and cumulative musculoskeletal symptoms and physical performance in women who are overweight or have obesity.

These studies conducted by our Faculty's Exercise and Obesity Unit contributed to sharing academic research carried out in the fields of obesity, exercise, musculoskeletal health, physical performance, and rehabilitation on international scientific platforms.

We congratulate our faculty members and doctoral students for their scientific contributions and wish them continued success in their studies.
