DEPARTMENT OF ORTHOPEDIC REHABILITATION
Within our Department of Orthopedic Rehabilitation, specialized physiotherapists are trained at both undergraduate and graduate levels by experienced academic staff in the field. The program focuses on the assessment and treatment of adult and pediatric patients experiencing movement disorders resulting from musculoskeletal diseases or injuries.
At the undergraduate level, internship training for physiotherapy students is conducted in the outpatient and inpatient orthopedic services, as well as in the plastic and hand surgery and rheumatology departments of our hospital. In addition, physiotherapy and rehabilitation services in these departments are provided by expert academic staff specialized in the field.
At the graduate level, both Master’s and doctoral programs related to the specialty area are offered. Upon completion of these programs, highly qualified specialist physiotherapists and physiotherapists with doctoral degrees—who have completed comprehensive theoretical and practical training in their field—are trained.
The primary rehabilitation areas within our Department include fractures, overuse injuries, sports-specific injuries, joint prostheses, plastic and hand surgery, and rheumatic diseases.
Current physiotherapy approaches in orthopedic physiotherapy and rehabilitation are closely followed within the Department, and numerous national and international publications and projects contributing to scientific advancement and public health are actively conducted.
