A NARKO-GENÇLİK Training Activity was organized at Pamukkale University Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation to raise students' awareness of drug use and the fight against addiction.

The training, held on Friday, October 16, 2026, in Classroom K-1 43 of our Faculty, was attended by Police Officers Mehmet Kılboz and Ece Kılınç from the Department of Counter-Narcotics.

During the training, information was provided on the importance of combating narcotics-related crimes, the reasons that lead individuals to initiate drug use, the cycle of addiction, the classification of narcotic substances, signs of drug use, and high-risk environments. In addition, the legal aspects of drug use, UYUMA (Anti-Drug Application), and the NARVAS (Narcotics Case Analysis System) Project were introduced, and the importance of these systems in combating drug use was discussed.

During the program, information was provided about counseling and treatment centers offering services in the field of combating drug use and addiction. Awareness-raising messages were also shared through the award-winning short film “İki Ekmek” (Two Loaves of Bread), which won first place. At the end of the training, recommendations aimed at protecting young people from addiction were read aloud.

We would like to thank the Department of Counter-Narcotics and Police Officers Mehmet Kılboz and Ece Kılınç for this valuable training, which contributed to raising our students' awareness of the individual and societal effects of drug use.
