The Department of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations welcomed Taner BETER, Employment and Occupation Counsellor and Job Club Leader at the Denizli Provincial Directorate of the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR), as a guest speaker in the "Labour Market Practices in Turkey" course. BETER shared practical guidance on CV preparation and job interview techniques with students.

The "Labour Market Practices in Turkey" course, conducted by Prof. Handan KUMAŞ, addresses the mismatches between job seekers and employers in the labour market and aims to make these challenges more visible and actionable. This week's session featured Taner BETER, who serves as Employment and Occupation Counsellor and Job Club Leader at the Denizli Provincial Directorate of İŞKUR.

BETER walked students through the key elements of effective CV writing, explaining what information to prioritise and how to present professional experience with precision. The second part of the session focused on types of job interviews and the techniques currently in widespread use.

Students engaged actively throughout the session, directing their questions on practical applications to the speaker directly.

The Department extends its gratitude to the Denizli Provincial Directorate of the Turkish Employment Agency for enabling this collaboration, and to Taner BETER for his participation. The Department looks forward to the continuation of this partnership.
