Public Institutions Website Standards

As a result of the studies carried out under the responsibility of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey - Marmara Research Center (TÜBİTAK-MAM), the "Public Institutions Website Guide" was prepared and entered into force with the Circular published in the Official Gazette on January 27, 2007.  Public Institutions Website Guide (Version 1.0) (2007)

The Public Websites Guide (KAMİS) Project, implemented by the T.R. Ministry of Development and TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Software Technologies Research Institute (YTE), aims to bring public websites into compliance with usability and accessibility standards. Along with the project, it is envisaged to raise the awareness of institutions providing public services so that they can have more usable and accessible websites.

The developed KAMİS Guide has been put into the service of public institutions by being divided into 5 separate sub-guides: “Usability and Accessibility Guide on Websites”, “Usability Principles Guide”, “Accessibility Principles Guide”, “Public Websites Legislation Information Guide”, and “Technology Guide”.
