Microsoft Outlook serves as the professional email management solution within the Microsoft Office ecosystem. To leverage its full capabilities, initial account configuration is required, specifically employing the IMAP protocol.
-IMAP: This protocol functions by mirroring the server's state; any modifications executed within Outlook are instantaneously synchronized with the server. This ensures a seamless and unified experience, whereby the same data remains accessible when utilizing a web-based interface.

must be configured as follows.
During the account addition phase, upon clicking "Advanced options," the checkbox for "Let me set up my account manually" must be enabled.
OUYLOOK IMAP Configuration Interface:
Proceed by clicking the "Add Account" button, as illustrated in the image above.
Enter your Pusula username in the format username@pau.edu.tr, including the "@pau.edu.tr" suffix. Then, click on "Advanced options" and check the box for "Let me set up my account manually.”
Proceed by selecting the IMAP option.
Incoming Mail: eposta.pau.edu.tr Port: 143 Encryption Method: STARTTLS
Outgoing Mail: eposta.pau.edu.tr Port: 587 Encryption Method: STARTTLS
Click the "Next" button and enter your Pusula password.
The configuration is now complete.

When configuring your Office 365-supported email system on mobile devices, tablets, or email clients such as Outlook, please note the following distinction:
If you have not recently updated your password via the Pusula Information System, you must perform a password reset first. Once updated, please allow a 4-5 minute propagation delay before proceeding with the configuration.
The following credentials and server specifications must be applied:
Username: Must be entered as username@posta.pau.edu.tr
INCOMING MAIL SERVER: outlook.office365.com
PORT: 995 (for POP) - 993 (for IMAP)
ENCRYPTION/SECURITY METHOD: TLS (Should an error occur, select AUTO)
OUTGOING MAIL SERVER (SMTP): smtp.office365.com
