The Department of Industrial Engineering was established to conduct research, primarily to propose solutions to the operational problems of Denizli, an industrial city, and its surrounding region, to inform industrialists and those working in industry, to organize conferences, seminars, and panels, and to provide stable solutions to problems encountered in industrial enterprises. It first began its graduate education in the fall semester of 2002-2003 and then its undergraduate education in the fall semester of 2004-2005. 2002-2003 fall semester with graduate education and then in the 2004-2005 fall semester with undergraduate education. It also started doctoral education in the 2012-2013 academic year and a non-thesis master's program in Engineering Management in 2015-2016.

 

The language of instruction for Industrial Engineering at Pamukkale University is Turkish, and English and professional English courses are mandatory. In addition, our department offers a one-year elective English preparatory program. The Industrial Engineering Department, which graduated its first students at the end of the 2007-2008 academic year, currently has 3 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 4 Assistant Professors, and 4 Research Assistants.

 

Within the scope of the Erasmus LLP exchange program, our department, which has exchange agreements with universities in Germany, Poland, Greece, and France, has had over 30 students participate in this program to date, studying at these universities.

 

Our department hosted the Industrial-Management Engineering Congress in 2003, the Turkish Industrial Engineering Student Meeting (TEMÖB) in 2008, and the 16th International Logistics and Supply Chain Congress (LMSCM 2018) in 2018. It organizes panels, seminars, and workshops on various topics aimed at the development of students and academic staff.
