30th International Dede Korkut Science, Culture and Sports Festival

Bayburt, a historic cultural city that preserves the memory of Dede Korkut, one of the most significant narrative heritages of our ancient culture, has been officially recognized by UNESCO as the “City of Dede Korkut.” Within this framework, the International Dede Korkut Festival, organized annually by the Governorship of Bayburt and the Municipality of Bayburt, continues to be held regularly in order to preserve this deep-rooted heritage and pass it on to future generations.

This year, the events will be organized under the title “30th International Dede Korkut Science, Culture and Sports Festival,” which will take place between 6–12 July 2026. With the academic support of Bayburt University, the organization is expected to attract the active participation of numerous university students and academics from both Türkiye and abroad.

Within the scope of the event, various activities are planned, including individual and team sports branches, traditional sports, cultural and artistic programs, and multicultural interaction activities.

The 30th International Dede Korkut Science, Culture and Sports Festival is open to all undergraduate and graduate university students between the ages of 17 and 30. Registrations for the event will be available through the official website starting from 15 February.
