Duties of the Director

 

ARTICLE 9 – (1) The duties of the Director are as follows:

a) To represent the Center.

b) To convene the Administrative Board and the Advisory Board, prepare the meeting agenda, chair the meetings, and implement the decisions taken.

c) To carry out the administrative affairs of the Center.

ç) To take the necessary measures to ensure the regular execution and supervision of activities in line with the objectives of the Center.

d) To collaborate with relevant national and international centers and institutions in order to develop and implement projects aligned with the Center’s objectives and to promote mutual cooperation.

e) To make the necessary assignments required for the Center’s activities.

f) To prepare the Center’s work plans and submit them to the Rectorate after obtaining the opinion of the Administrative Board.

g) To submit the Center’s annual activity report to the Rectorate in December each year.

Administrative Board

ARTICLE 10 – (1) The Administrative Board consists of five members, including the Director. Members of the Board are appointed by the Rector for a term of three years from among individuals experienced in the Center’s fields of activity, upon the recommendation of the Director. Members whose terms expire may be reappointed. In the event that a member leaves before the end of their term or is assigned outside the University for more than six months, a new member is appointed following the same procedure to complete the remaining term. The Board convenes with an absolute majority and decisions are taken by a majority vote.

Duties of the Administrative Board

ARTICLE 11 – (1) The duties of the Administrative Board are as follows:

a) To regulate the activities of the Center in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation.

b) To take decisions regarding the management and activities of the Center in line with its objectives, and to decide on proposals concerning the establishment of working groups within the Center and the individuals to be assigned to these groups.

c) To provide opinions and determine needs regarding expert and technical personnel to be employed at the Center.

ç) To determine the principles governing all activities to be carried out within the Center.

(2) The Administrative Board convenes at least twice a year ordinarily and, when necessary, extraordinarily upon the call of the Director.

Advisory Board

ARTICLE 12 – (1) The Advisory Board consists of five members appointed by the Rector for a term of three years, upon the recommendation of the Administrative Board, from among academic staff of the University or other universities who are experienced in the Center’s fields of activity, as well as experts from relevant institutions and organizations, if they so wish. Members whose terms expire may be reappointed. In the event of vacancies, new members are appointed following the same procedure to complete the remaining term.

(2) The Advisory Board convenes at least once a year ordinarily, upon the call of the Director, with an absolute majority. When deemed necessary, the Director may also call the Advisory Board for an extraordinary meeting. The Director chairs the Advisory Board.

Duties of the Advisory Board

ARTICLE 13 – (1) The Advisory Board provides evaluations on matters requested by the Administrative Board regarding the Center’s activities and offers consultative opinions and recommendations.
