The Regulation of the Pamukkale University Psychological Counseling and Guidance Education, Practice and Research Center was published in the Official Gazette on June 9, 2014. The Center’s activities commenced following the appointment of Prof. Dr. Hülya Şahin Baltacı as Director on September 4, 2016.
In order to carry out the Center’s operations, Psychologist Deniz Küçüker was appointed on April 19, 2017, and Psychological Counselor Işıl Özkılıç was appointed as a lecturer on May 31, 2017. Dr. Psychological Counselor Turnel Altan was later appointed as a lecturer on May 31, 2019. Administrative staff member Fatma Sağıt started working at the secretariat on January 27, 2020.
The Center became fully operational in May 2017. The facility includes two offices, three individual counseling rooms, and one group counseling room.
Psychologist Deniz Küçüker and Prof. Dr. Hülya Şahin Baltacı left the Center in December 2023. In 2024, Prof. Dr. Ahu Arıcıoğlu was appointed as the new Director of the Center.
