Our department operates within an academic field that contributes to the formation of essential real-life needs, such as the organization, structuring, design, and production of spatial inputs. Established in 2010, the primary objective of the department is to educate professionals and researchers dedicated to the design of the built environment. In this way, the department aims to contribute to the creation of original and high-quality design outputs at all scales in Türkiye.
At the core of architectural education are studio-based courses. Accordingly, design and project studios constitute the backbone of our curriculum, while other courses are structured to support studio work. In addition, students are equipped with the necessary technical knowledge required for professional practice. Through surveying (measured drawing), construction site, and office internships, the program aims to ensure that academic education and professional practice complement one another.
