The research project “The Effect of the Level and Uncertainty of the Real Exchange Rate on Sectoral Investments in Türkiye”, proposed under the “TÜBİTAK-ARDEB 1001: Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program, 2026 First Call Period” with Assoc. Prof. Duygu YOLCU KARADAM of the Department of Economics as principal investigator, has been deemed worthy of funding by TÜBİTAK. The project will be conducted over a period of 21 months with a considerable budget provided by TÜBİTAK.
Operating within the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK), the Research Support Programs Directorate (ARDEB) supports project proposals that focus on offering solutions to significant problems and bringing new perspectives to the future vision within the framework of the general science and technology policies of Türkiye. Under the 1001 Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program, ARDEB funds projects that comply with scientific principles for the generation of new knowledge, the development of scientific interpretations or the solution of technological problems.
The project addresses a question that stands at the intersection of macroeconomic policy and investment behavior, examining how the level of the real exchange rate and the uncertainty surrounding it shape investment decisions across sectors in Türkiye.
The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences congratulates Assoc. Prof. Duygu YOLCU KARADAM on this achievement, which reflects the growing research capacity of the Faculty, and wishes continued success throughout the research process.
