The Public Sector session of the "2026 Industry Days," organized by the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Pamukkale University, was held on 20 May 2026 in the Şehit Piyade Teğmen Bekir Can Kerek Conference Hall. Representatives from Pamukkale Technopark, KOSGEB, GEKA, and TKDK presented their experiences on public sector institutions, career opportunities, and the entrepreneurship ecosystem to students.

The Public Sector session of the Faculty's biannual Industry Days brought together four senior public officials and students for an open exchange on careers, institutional support mechanisms, and regional development. The speakers were Prof. Ibrahim AKSEL, General Manager of Pamukkale Technopark Inc.; Sadullah DÜLGER, Denizli Provincial Director of KOSGEB; Ümit GÜLYAĞI, Secretary General of GEKA; and Bilal TAŞTEPE, Denizli Provincial Coordinator of TKDK.
Presentations addressed the evolving role of public institutions in digital transformation, innovation, and sustainable development. Prof. AKSEL emphasized that students' capacity to generate projects is the key element strengthening the university-sector relationship. DÜLGER highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship culture, stressing that young people need to grow not only as job seekers but as individuals who create employment.
GÜLYAĞI noted that regional development is directly linked to qualified human capital, arguing that economic growth alone is insufficient without the emergence of a skilled workforce. TAŞTEPE underscored the funding and support opportunities that public institutions offer to young people seeking to develop their ideas into concrete projects.
The session concluded with an active question-and-answer exchange focused on internship opportunities, public sector entry processes, project grants, and career planning strategies.
