The Student and Faculty Exchange Program between Higher Education Institutions, referred to as the “Farabi Exchange Program,” is an exchange program for students and faculty members between higher education institutions that offer associate's, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees within universities and high-tech institutes.

The Farabi Exchange Program aims to enable students or faculty members to continue their education and teaching activities at a higher education institution outside their own institution for one or two semesters.

You can access announcements and more detailed information about the Farabi Exchange Program on our university's Farabi Exchange Program Institutional Coordination Office webpage.

You can access the universities that have signed a protocol with our university within the scope of the FARABI Exchange Program here.

I had the opportunity to study at Yıldız Technical University for one year through the Farabi Program during the 2013-2014 academic year. To be honest, I had never even considered doing Farabi until a friend encouraged me. But I'm glad I did! It had always been my dream to study at Yıldız Technical University. Even though it was only for a short period of one year, I fulfilled my dream. You might think, “Why would I do it? What would it add to me? It's just a place in Turkey, after all.” But don't think that! Thanks to new friends, experienced professors, and the clubs you join, you get to experience a different environment and have the opportunity to make connections that could help you in your future career. Through a project organized by the club I joined, I had the chance to talk one-on-one with businesspeople from different sectors and benefit from their experiences. I still keep in touch with them. Before I left, I had a lot of questions about whether it was worth disrupting my routine. But believe me, it's worth it. We are industrial engineering candidates. I realized too late that it's very wrong to limit ourselves by staying in our place or saying that this is all I can do. I'm in my final year, and if I could go back and relive the past four years, I would make much better use of them. My advice to you is: don't hesitate! Make the most of the opportunities you have. Take advantage of every opportunity to gain experiences, skills, and references that you can add to your resume at the end of four years. That way, you'll also make your university life more enjoyable. It’s a cliché, but “you won’t even realize how the four years passed.” So don’t put anything off. Best of luck to all of you.
