ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Students are admitted to the Laboratory and Veterinary Health Program based on their ranking in the TYT score type of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS), administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). In addition, students may also be placed by ÖSYM through the Non-Examination Transition System.

ACADEMIC PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITIES

Students who successfully complete the Laboratory and Veterinary Health Program may apply for the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM, provided that they meet the required application conditions. Eligible candidates are subject to an aptitude examination consisting of verbal and quantitative components. Placement is determined by considering both the candidates’ aptitude examination scores and their academic grade point averages, which together form the Associate Degree Success Score. The Vertical Transfer Examination Score is calculated by ÖSYM by combining the examination results with the Associate Degree Success Score. Candidates who achieve sufficient scores are placed by ÖSYM into upper-level undergraduate programs, including Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Biology, Biotechnology, Animal Production and Technologies, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Health Management, Agricultural Biotechnology, Veterinary Medicine, and Zootechnics.

In addition, students who are entitled to receive an associate degree diploma may directly enroll in open education undergraduate programs in their field without quota limitations, provided they wish to continue their education through open and distance learning.
