TÜBİTAK-ARDEB 1001: Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program

The research project titled “Development of a Microsimulation Model for the Turkish Economy and Impact Analysis of Fiscal Policies”, proposed under the TÜBİTAK-ARDEB 1001 Program (2024 Call, 2nd Term) and led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur AKKOÇ, has been awarded funding by TÜBİTAK. The project has a budget exceeding 1 million TL and a duration of 28 months. (For detailed information, click here.)

Another research project titled “A New Panel Causality Test under Cross-Sectional Dependence and Structural Breaks”, proposed under the TÜBİTAK-ARDEB 1001 Program (2024 Call, 1st Term) by Prof. Dr. Şaban NAZLIOĞLU and Dr. Çağın KARUL (Pamukkale University, Department of Econometrics), has also been approved for funding by TÜBİTAK. The project has a budget exceeding 1 million TL and a duration of 36 months. (For detailed information, click here.)

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), through the Research Support Programs Directorate (ARDEB), supports project proposals that aim to provide solutions to major scientific and technological challenges within the framework of national science and technology policies and to offer new perspectives for the future. Within the scope of the 1001 Program, TÜBİTAK funds projects that generate new knowledge, contribute to scientific interpretation, and solve technological problems based on scientific principles.

TÜBİTAK 2219: International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program

Asst. Prof. Dr. Murat KANTAR, Head of the Department of International Business, conducted research as a visiting scholar at Amsterdam Business School (University of Amsterdam, Netherlands) for approximately seven months between September 2023 and April 2024. His project titled “Pre-release and Post-release Electronic Word of Mouth: A Research on Movies” was supported by TÜBİTAK under the 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program.

TÜBİTAK 2209-A: Undergraduate Students Research Projects Support Program

Students of the Department of International Trade and Finance achieved significant success within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A Undergraduate Students Research Projects Support Program (2023 Call, 1st Term). Out of 70 applications submitted from Pamukkale University, 44 projects were funded. Among the 6 supported projects from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, 4 belong to students of our department. Under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur AKKOÇ and Dr. Gamze KARGIN AKKOÇ, our students have gained valuable experience and the opportunity to implement their original research projects with TÜBİTAK support.

In 2024, two additional project proposals were prepared by two students of the department.
