Welcome to the web page of the thermoelectric materials and systems laboratory, which is located in the infrastructure of Pamukkale University, Faculty of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Department. We are an academic research group that develops thermoelectric materials and systems and tries to use these products in different industrial applications. Our work is mostly about synthesizing new generation thermoelectric materials, investigating the material characterization of samples, designing thermoelectric modules and investigating the use of thermoelectric systems in industrial applications.
Research Areas:
- Synthesizing new generation high efficiency thermoelectric materials
- Researching structural analysis of samples (electron & crystal structure, carrier concentration, mobility)
- Determining the thermoelectric properties of samples (Seebeck coefficient, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and ZT value)
- Designing high efficiency optimum thermoelectric modules in different types and sizes for power generation or heating/cooling applications
- Heatsink design and optimization
- Creating optimum thermoelectric systems with numerical package programs (ANSYS, MATLAB)
- Automatic control of thermoelectric systems
