The Property Protection and Security Department, located within Tavas Vocational School, is an educational unit that aims to train qualified intermediate personnel needed in the public and private sectors to ensure the safety of life, property, and the environment. The department adopts an educational approach based on contemporary knowledge and practices in areas such as security services, emergency management, fire safety, risk and crisis management.
The Property Protection and Security Department adopts a preventive and protective approach that aims not only to protect property but also to ensure the safety of employees, visitors, and all individuals receiving services. In this context, managing effective planning, organization, and response processes against fires, explosions, sabotage, natural disasters, and other emergencies that may occur in workplaces is of great importance.
As a natural extension of this holistic security approach, the Occupational Health and Safety Program within the department aims to train specialized technical personnel to create a healthy and safe environment in working life. Occupational health and safety practices are directly related to security services in the protection of property, production, and most importantly, human life.
The Occupational Health and Safety Program, within the framework of Law No. 6331 on Occupational Health and Safety and related legislation, provides students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in areas such as preventing work accidents and occupational diseases, conducting risk assessments, preparing emergency plans, and organizing fire and evacuation operations. Thanks to the infrastructure provided by the Property Protection and Security Department, the program addresses security, emergency, and risk management issues in an integrated manner with occupational health and safety.
Through the theoretical and practical training provided within the program, students are trained as Occupational Health and Safety Technicians who can identify potential hazards in the workplace, analyze risks, develop preventive measures, and contribute to the creation of a safe working culture.
The Occupational Health and Safety Program, conducted under the umbrella of the Property Protection and Security Department of Tavas Vocational School, has a contemporary educational approach that considers the concepts of safety and health as a whole and contributes to ensuring sustainable safety in working life.
