Students from Pamukkale University Serinhisar Vocational School attended the 3rd Denizli Excellence Summit, organized by the Turkish Society for Quality (KalDer), where they met with prominent professionals from the business world. Held on October 6, 2026, at the Servergazi Hall of the Merkezefendi Cultural Center, the event effectively transformed into a practical learning environment for the students.
Coordinated by Lecturer Nasibe Çakanel as part of the "Career Planning" and "Entrepreneurship" courses, this event brought the classroom experience directly to the summit. It ensured a strong connection between the university and the business world, going beyond mere theoretical education.
Leadership, Efficiency, Quality, and People
The program themes of the summit—organized under the main heading "New Equations"—aligned perfectly with the core dynamics of the Career Planning and Entrepreneurship courses. Students followed the "Leadership and Management Equation" session, featuring leadership and management thinker Fazıl Oral, and the "Human Equation" session, featuring an enlightening presentation by author Ahmet Şerif İzgören, with great interest.
Additionally, operational excellence processes were discussed during the "Efficiency Equation" session, which was attended by executives from leading industry companies such as Wagner Kablo, Enerjisa, and LC Waikiki.
Meanwhile, the "Quality Equation" session—where executives from ESBAŞ, Siemens Healthineers, Toyota Boshoku, and MTC Linen Tekstil shared their experiences—covered topics such as transforming quality into a corporate culture and achieving sustainable success. This trip also marks the first official event of the Serinhisar Vocational School MİRAS Society, which was recently established within our institution. By experiencing the culture of quality and excellence firsthand at the summit, our students gained strong motivation for their future career planning and entrepreneurial endeavors. We extend our thanks to the KalDer management for providing the necessary quota for our students to attend the event.
