Department of Islamic History and Arts

Department Chair: Prof. Dr. Osman AYDINLI


 This department focuses on examining and researching the actions taken by Muslim states or communities throughout history, from the birth of Islam to the present day, the institutions they established, and their achievements in literature and art, using the necessary methods. Within this framework, the department aims to research all aspects of our history, civilization, cultural heritage, music, and artistic activities such as calligraphy and ebru, and to pass this knowledge on to young people studying at the postgraduate level. The department consists of two sub-departments and five branches.

2. Department of Turkish-Islamic Literature and Islamic Arts

    (Turkish-Islamic Literature, Turkish Islamic Arts, Turkish Religious Music)
