The Faculty of Technology was established by the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2009/15546 dated 02.11.2009, following the implementation of the decision regarding the closure of Technical Education Faculties within higher education institutions and the establishment of new faculties within the same institutions. The Biomedical Engineering Department was established in 2011 and began undergraduate education with its first students in the 2013-2014 academic year. Postgraduate education began in the 2018-2019 academic year, and doctoral education commenced in the 2020-2021 academic year.
