What is the Knife Making and Hand Tools Technology Program?

Our department trains qualified and well-equipped technicians who will work in the production of knifemaking and hand tools. As an associate degree program, it offers significant job opportunities in many different fields.

The Knifemaking and Hand Tools Production Technologies Program aims to understand the production, structure, composition, and properties of materials, develop innovative design products based on these properties, create efficient and sustainable production planning, and instill a branding culture with unique designs.

Our department represents a significant potential for achieving higher quality and safer production in the field of knifemaking and hand tools. Students wishing to study the Knifemaking and Hand Tools Technology program within a 3+1 semester curriculum will take courses in Computer-Aided Design, Computer-Aided Manufacturing, Materials Technology, Basic Mold Making Technology, Manufacturing Processes, Technical Drawing, Machine Elements, Entrepreneurship, Internet and Marketing, etc. The program aims to train students to become sought-after employees, not just intermediate staff, through course content tailored to the needs of the sector.

The workshop facilities provided within our program help students transform the theoretical knowledge they have learned in classes into practical application. Furthermore, through regular technical trips to factories, they are exposed to the practical application areas of the program.

The department's goal is to be a leading, contemporary, innovative, reliable, respected, and preferred department in the fields of social and sustainable development through interdisciplinary project collaborations, and in education, training, and scientific development, recognized at national and international levels.
