Basic First Aid Training for Sarayköy Community College Students

Updated Date: 21 May 2026

Students at Sarayköy Vocational School showed great interest in the two-day basic first aid training held in the classrooms of the Faculty of Science. During the 16-hour theoretical and practical training, participants were provided with detailed instructions on how to assess the scene when encountering a sick or injured person and what interventions are required in specific situations.

As part of the training, basic life support (CPR and artificial respiration) for adults, children, and infants, as well as techniques for handling bleeding, injuries, fractures, burns, frostbite, insect bites, drowning, and emergency transport, were demonstrated through practical exercises.

Led by instructors Fatma Aslan, Dilek Öztürk, and Havva Yıldırım, the training saw students participate with great interest and energy; they actively engaged in the process by questioning why certain actions were performed.

At the conclusion of the training, participants who successfully completed the course were issued first aid certificates valid for three years. The validity of these certificates can be extended by attending a one-day refresher training course after three years.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Denizli Provincial Health Directorate and the Sarayköy District Health Directorate for their support in organizing the training, as well as to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Science for providing the venue.
