The second session of the June 2026 Graduate Student Seminars, organized by the Department of Fine Arts Education, Division of Art Education, within the Institute of Educational Sciences at Pamukkale University, was successfully held on June 4, 2026, at the Meeting Hall of the Faculty of Education C Block.
During the session, graduate students presented their research on contemporary art, art education, and interdisciplinary studies, contributing to academic discussions in the field. The seminar program included the following presentations:
Ceyda Şan – “Thinking Through Material: The Aesthetics of Contingency”
Ebrar Kurdoğlu – “Material Equivalents of Moments of Rupture: Arts-Based Research”
İsra Kaya – “Materials from Nature: The Use of Biomaterials in Art”
Gamze Karakurt – “Representations of Mythological Female Figures in Feminist Art”
Aslı Feyzan Kaçmaz – “Educational Opportunities and Workshops Provided by Museums as Out-of-School Learning Environments: The Case of Koç Museums”
The seminars, which addressed both theoretical and practical dimensions of art education from diverse perspectives, attracted considerable interest from participants. At the end of the event, students had the opportunity to discuss their presentations and receive feedback from faculty members and attendees.
