1. The Director is assigned by the Rector for a period of three years from among the academic staff of the University who have studies related to the fields of activity of the Center. The Director whose term has expired may be reassigned by the same method.

2. In order to assist the Director in his work, a maximum of two people from among the academic staff of the University shall be assigned by the Rector as assistant directors for a period of three years upon the recommendation of the Director. In cases where the Director is not on duty, one of the assistants shall act as the Director. In cases where the Director is not on duty for more than six months, his/her duty shall end and a new Director shall be assigned in his/her place. When the Director's duty ends, the duty of his/her assistants shall also end.

3. The Director is responsible to the Rector for the regular execution of the work in line with the Center's objectives, for the supervision and control of all activities of the Center and for taking the necessary measures in these matters.

4. The Director's duties are as follows:

a) To regularly carry out the activities in line with the Center's objectives.

b) To supervise and control all activities of the Center.

c) To manage and represent the Center.

ç) To preside over the Board of Directors and implement the decisions of the Board of Directors.

d) To take necessary measures regarding the regular and effective execution and supervision of the Center's activities.

e) To make the assignments required by the Center's activities.

f) To prepare a report on the general status and functioning of the Center at the end of each academic year and when requested, and to submit it to the Rector after receiving the opinion of the Board of Directors.
