What is psychological counseling?
Psychological counseling is a professional relationship between you and your counselor which aims to increase your awareness and help you learn more about yourself, your feelings, and your relationships with others. At any point in your life, a problem may appear, and its presence may start bothering you. You may feel like you need professional help to overcome this problem or situation. Psychological counseling may help you to change the things you want to change in your life and help you gain necessary coping skills when dealing with these problems. During this process, psychological counselor will listen to you without any judgment or prejudice, make necessary evaluations, and start working with you by helping you to set goals for yourself, to follow through those goals, and to execute them into your life.
How long will the sessions last?
Individual counseling sessions typically last 40 minutes and couples therapy sessions last between 75 and 90 minutes. When we reserve time for you, we require all of that time to provide you with the best
quality care possible. When you are late it decreases our ability to accomplish this. If you arrive more
than 10 minutes late for your appointment time, you may be rescheduled in order to meet the needs of
those who are on time. Priority will be given to the clients who arrive on time. One or two late clients can cause the entire daily schedule to fall behind. This is an inconvenience to everyone. We strive
to see every client as close to their appointment time as possible.
How many times are we going to meet?
