Overview
The primary mission of the Department of Automotive Engineering is to educate qualified automotive engineers who possess a strong theoretical foundation, advanced practical skills, high engineering creativity, and strong ethical values to meet the needs of the automotive industry.
The educational approach of the Automotive Engineering Department is based on an interdisciplinary, practice-oriented engineering model designed to accelerate our graduates’ adaptation to the industry. Starting from fundamental engineering sciences, our students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical competence in vehicle systems, internal combustion engine technologies, powertrain systems, automotive electrical-electronics, hybrid and electric vehicles, and manufacturing technologies.
Automotive Engineering Undergraduate Program
The Automotive Engineering undergraduate program consists of a total of 240 ECTS credits. In order to graduate, students must complete:
-
48 working days of compulsory internship (20 + 20 working days) at the end of the 4th and 6th semesters
(STAJ-401 Vocational Internship I + STAJ-402 Vocational Internship II)
-
ISME 400 – Industrial Training (14 weeks) during the 7th or 8th semester
The Industrial Training application enables students to directly experience production, design, testing, quality, and R&D processes, thereby establishing a strong connection between academic knowledge and industrial practice. This model enhances graduates’ adaptability to the sector while reinforcing a culture of applied engineering.
Students who successfully complete the program are awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering and graduate with the title of “Automotive Engineer.”
