EDUCATION

At Çardak OSB Vocational School, our students will receive education in a 3+1 (3 semesters of education, 1 semester of internship) format. This will eliminate the lack of experience our students may have upon graduation.

One of the most important advantages of this education model is the possibility of students being employed at their internship workplaces based on mutual satisfaction. The process of connecting students with workplaces, monitoring students throughout their internships, and ensuring the smooth running of the internship process will be entirely under the contribution and supervision of the Vocational School.

CULTURE - TOURISM

Acıgöl (Çardak Lake): A tectonically formed lake. Its surface area is 41.34 km². It is located between Çardak district of Denizli Province and Dazkırı district of Afyonkarahisar Province. The lake is fed by waters flowing down from the Söğüt Mountains. Also called Acıtuz Gölü (Bitter Salt Lake), its altitude is 836 m. Bitter waters emerge from the base of the Söğüt Mountains, sometimes 1-2 m above the shore, near Burdur Lake (854 m altitude). These waters are thought to originate from Burdur Lake. In areas where the waters of Acıtuz Gölü recede, a thin, pure white layer of salt remains, which animals lick to satisfy their needs. Potassium, sodium, and sulfate are present in the lake along with the salt. These substances are utilized by businesses established along the lake's edge.

Çardak Airport: Located 65 km from Denizli city center, the airport first began providing passenger services in 1991 in a prefabricated building of approximately 250 m2, in accordance with the "Protocol Regarding the Use of Military Airfields for Civil Aviation Services" between the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) and the Air Force. Due to the very small and inadequate size of the existing terminal area, services continued in a 2000 m2 prefabricated terminal building transferred from another airport on October 26, 1998. Meanwhile, customs and passport facilities were organized due to the opening of the airport to international traffic. Due to increasing passenger traffic and the airport being designated as a customs point, it was deemed insufficient for the existing terminal building. Therefore, in 1998, feasibility studies were conducted for the construction of a new terminal building with a capacity of 2,200,000 passengers per year and covering an area of 280,000 m2, located southeast of the runway. Construction of the new terminal building, whose foundation was laid in 2001, began on April 23, 2008, and it has been providing services in the new 18,739 m2 terminal building since then, offering a high-quality and clean working environment and an elite service approach within the scope of aviation activities.
