Students from the Department of Field Crops at our faculty organized a comprehensive technical trip to Bursa to meet with leaders shaping the future of the agricultural sector and to examine modern production models on-site. Under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Rıdvan Uçar, a faculty member of our department, our students gained significant academic and sectoral experience during the two-day program.
On May 14, 2026, the first day of the trip, our students attended the day-long "Agricultural Leaders Summit" held at the Hektaş F.A.R.M. Congress Center in Bursa. Having the opportunity to meet with leading representatives of the industry, the future agricultural engineers closely followed the panels where innovative topics shaping agriculture were discussed. Our students broadened their horizons by receiving first-hand information on sustainable agricultural policies and future agricultural models.
On the second day of the program (May 15, 2026), corporate visits were paid to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practice. Our students visited the Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Agriculture campus and exchanged information with their colleagues regarding academic opportunities, ongoing projects, and fields of study. Additionally, our team visited the facilities within Karacabey TİGEM, one of Turkey’s most deep-rooted agricultural enterprises, and had the opportunity to examine modern production models, the operation of agricultural facilities, and field applications on-site.
