Students from the Emergency and Disaster Management program at Serinhisar Vocational School, acting with a sense of social responsibility against the increasing forest fires, became volunteers for Forest Fire Fighting. As part of the volunteer program, students received training from Güliz KARAMAN, the Head of the Serinhisar Forestry Directorate. The training covered the causes of forest fires, intervention techniques applied during a fire, efforts to prevent forest fires, the duties, authorities, and responsibilities of forest fire fighting volunteers, and general information about the General Directorate of Forestry. During the training, students participated in a interactive environment by asking questions. Following the training, students took an exam to receive their Forest Fire Fighting Volunteer cards.
We would like to thank Güliz KARAMAN, the Head of the Serinhisar Forestry Directorate, and the staff of the Serinhisar Forestry Directorate for providing this training.
