Department Introduction

Management Information Systems is a discipline that brings together the fields of information systems and business management. Our goal is to train Management Information Systems Specialists who can develop and manage information systems in businesses, solve problems professionally and make data-driven decisions, and have the knowledge of business administration to manage information economy businesses.

Our department consists of 3 departments: Information Systems Department, Information Management Department and Decision Sciences Department. Within the scope of these departments, information systems and technologies, data management and analysis, software development, marketing analytics and research, e-commerce, business process management, project management, strategic management, decision making systems and artificial intelligence. The department has a total of 10 academic staff, including 2 Professors, 4 Assistant Professors, 1 Research Assistant and 3 Research Assistants. Our department offers regular and secondary education programs at the undergraduate level, and 1 master's program with thesis and 1 doctoral program at the graduate level.

Graduates of the department have various job opportunities. Our graduates can work in many fields in both public and private sectors. It is a success criterion for students to work in data processing centers of enterprises, software and consulting companies or universities after graduation. It is also a success criterion for them to work in positions such as team leader, decision specialist, system analyst, system designer, programmer, project manager, IT specialist, computer-aided accounting and financing officer, e-marketing specialist, human resources specialist, MIS and R&D consultant, academician.
