Description
The Pharmacy Services Program is an associate degree program established to educate qualified and experienced professionals who are knowledgeable about the names, properties, effects, and proper use of medications, and who are capable of working in pharmacies, pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, laboratories, and pharmaceutical sales companies.
Program Objective
The program aims to train qualified healthcare personnel who can dispense ready-made medications prescribed by physicians to patients, prepare medications under the supervision of a pharmacist when required, and work in pharmaceutical manufacturing plants and companies, laboratories, and pharmaceutical sales firms.

Admission Requirements
Admission to the program is determined by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
Preference and Placement
Graduates of Vocational and Technical Secondary Education Institutions from the fields/branches of Patient and Elderly Care Services, Veterinary Health, Chemical Technology, and Health Services listed in Table 6C of the ÖSYM Guide are eligible for placement in the Pharmacy Services associate degree program. Placement scores are calculated by multiplying the Secondary Education Achievement Score (OBP) by 0.12 and adding the result to the placement score. In addition, extra points obtained by multiplying the OBP by 0.06 are added to the placement score.
Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS)
According to the list of associate degree graduation fields published in 2019, graduates of the Pharmacy Services Program may transfer to the following undergraduate programs through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS):
Degree and Title Awarded
Graduates who successfully complete the program are awarded an Associate Degree diploma. In accordance with the decision published in the Official Gazette dated April 26, 2011 (Acceptance Date: April 6, 2011; Law No. 6225) entitled “Law on Amendments to Certain Laws and Decree Laws”, graduates are granted the professional title of Pharmacy Technician.
