The Faculty of Technology was established with the Decree of the Council of Ministers dated 02.11.2009 and numbered 2009/15546 with the enactment of the decision on the closure of the Faculties of Technical Education within the higher education institutions and the establishment of new faculties affiliated to the same higher education institutions.
In 2011, PAU Faculty of Technology, which was launched with 5 departments, started to admit students to the Departments of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (now known as Mechanical Engineering) and Mechatronics Engineering as of the 2012-2013 academic year. The following year, the Departments of Automotive Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering (now known as Metallurgical and Materials Engineering) and Biomedical Engineering began to admit students.
