TURKISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

GENERAL INFORMATION
Undergraduate program was opened in 1994. The department consists of six units: New Turkish Language, Old Turkish Language, Modern Turkish Literature, Old Turkish Literature, Folklore, Modern Turkish Dialects and Literature. The University Library, library of the department, the Faculty computer labs, meeting rooms, presentation rooms, reading rooms and classrooms for daytime and evening education levels have adequate facilities.

Objective
Turkish language and literature, the structural and functional aspects should diachronic and simultaneously as well acquainted with them to examine and research necessary to modern scientific methods and techniques related to basic equipped with information to educate people.


Admission Requirements
1. Applicants must pass the examinations carried out by Selection and Placement at the Higher Education Institution. 2. Applicants must have the necessary requirements for transferring from another university to Pamukkale University Turkish Language and Literature department.

Graduation Requirements
Students are required to successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses in the curriculum with no fail grades, and have a minimum CGPA requirement as stated in the Pamukkale University undergraduate program guide.

Career Opportunties
1.Graduates may get a pedagogical training license and may work as Turkish language and literature teachers. 2. They may continue in post graduate education 3. They may work in private educational institutions (private schools, etc.) 4. They may work in archives, libraries or related private companies like printing houses, press companies etc. 5. They may work as lecturers of Turkish language and research assistants both in Turkey or abroad.
