I was born in 1972 in Erzincan (Turkey). Following my primary and secondary
education, I went to Atatürk University, Department of Archaeology and History of Art for
my undergraduate studies in 1990. I graduated in 1994 and taught until 1999. In November
1999 I started my assistantship in Pamukkale University, Department of Art History and
embarked on my graduate studies in September 2000. I obtained the title of scientist with my
thesis study titled “Denizli’de Ak Han ve Çardak Han” (Ak Han and Çardak Han in Denizli)
conducted under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Kasım Ince in June 2002. I continued my
assistantship at Ankara University (AU) in August 2003 and embarked on my doctorate
studies under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tuncel in AU, Faculty of Letters,
Department of Art History. On July 8, 2009 I completed my doctoral thesis titled “Hacı Ivaz
Pasa’nın Vakıf Eserleri ve Mimari Faaliyetleri” (Hacı İvaz Pasha’s Contributions to Wakfs
and His Architectural Activities) and am currently working at Pamukkale University.
